Installing WAMP Server on Windows

WAMP Server is a bundled package of Apache HTTP server,  MySQL database server, and PHP. It is a open source distribution. You can download the latest version of it from http://wampserver.com.

Download the executable file, you will find the individual software version of the package. After downloading start installing. Start installing it as administrator.When you will be prompted then provide the server installation location.

After all the installation files being extracted you will see browse dialogue open, here you need to choose the default browser like internet explorer, Mozilla etc. On the next window you prompt to prove SMTP server and mail address. 

Better keep it default and click on next. And your installation process is finished. Now you will see the Finish window.Select whether you want to launch it now.

After installation you should see a system icon of WAMP server in the system tray area. To test your installation click on this icon and select localhost.

That will open the browser and show you the WAMP home page.
