Eyedropper tool is a very useful tool for coping color from other source precisely. It use is also very easy.

Normal procedure to picking color is to open the desired color image in Photoshop, then select the eyedropper tool and click it on the desired colored area and the color will be picked. But the problem is that it not always wise to open images in Photoshop as they have no further use. Suppose you are surfing on the web and you see a color and you want to pick the color, so first you need to print screen the image and then open it in Photoshop and pick the color. A messy way to pick a color. But it is very easy with eyedropper tool. This tool also can pick color from any thing outside Photoshop as inside Photoshop. The procedure is, First open the Photoshop, make this Photoshop window small enough so that you can see both Photoshop window and the source window. The source window could be anything a image file or a web site etc. Then from Photoshop select the eyedropper tool (ctrl+I) then left click on the current layer hold the click and drag your mouse pointer to you desired color, you see from the palette your foreground color changed with your target color.
